Chelsea Truck Company lightly modifies new Defender

Off-shoot of Kahn Design, the Chelsea Truck Company hasn’t wasted any time unveiling its modified Land Rover Defender 110 Launch Edition.

As if there wasn’t already enough complaint the new Defender was looking a little too soft, the Chelsea Truck Company has churned out its take on the thing. And, yep, you guessed it, the wheels go all the way up to 22-inches.

Khan Design is well known for its wild tweaks on classic four-wheel drives, and has turned out some ridiculous looking Jeep Wranglers and classic Defenders. And now the side project, Chelsea Truck Company is quite possibly the first tuner in the world to roll out a modded Defender. And Land Rover has only just started building the things.

Look, there’s not a whole lot that’s been done to the thing in the way of ‘tuning’. It’s all cosmetic tweaks, like perforated leather on the inside, a blacked-out pack on the outside and big wheels which run from 20s to 22-inch.

Pricing for the thing, includes the cost of the new Defender and, based on UK exchange rates runs to around $128,000. Ouch.
