Ford is adding a Ranger 4×4 XLT Double Cab Chassis to its lineup in December.

Ford has announced it’ll add the Ranger 4×4 XLT Double Cab Chassis to its lineup in December with the thing priced from $56,240+ORC with a 3.2L diesel and six-speed manual. The price rises to $58,440+ORC with a six-speed auto and to $59,940+ORC with the 2.0L bi-turbo and 10-speed automatic transmission.

Ford said the decision to launch the Double Cab Chassis is based on customer feedback, with the Blue Oval being told that buyers wanted a well-specced Ranger Cab Chassis they could adapt to suit their own needs.

“Customers looking for Ranger’s high safety and equipment levels who want to add their own customised canopies or personalised tray set-up can now do so with far more ease,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand.

“Owners have told us that they want to save time and money with a ready-to-go, high-spec Ranger Cab Chassis that they can purchase straight off the showroom floor, and the 4×4 XLT Double Cab Chassis is here for these customers, be they tradespeople, adventurers or explorers.”

Beyond its tray, the Ranger XLT Double Cab Chassis boasts standard active safety features like autonomous emergency braking and more, 17-inch alloy wheels (18s are a cost option), dual-zone climate control, 8.0-inch infotainment screen with Apple and Android connectivity, towbar and wiring, and more.
