Lego Technic Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 released

Keep the kids occupied with this 3696 piece 1:8 Lego kit of Lamborghini’s first ever hybrid, the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37.

Teased for months, the 3696 piece Lego Technic Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is finally here. What do we all think, Internet?

The Sian was shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year (2019) and now it’s been, er, immortalised in Lego, if it wasn’t already destined to be an icon of the Lambo stable, what with being the brand’s first hybrid model and all. And if you want more Lego to drool over check out our list of the best kits to buy right now.

The kit features a replica V12 engine, a moveable rear spoiler, front and rear suspension, and working steering with the wheel boasting an Automobili Lamborghini badge. It also has scissor doors, which open to reveal the intricately recreated cockpit, with a fully-functioning eight-speed sequential gearbox controlled by a movable paddle gearshift. It can only be had in one colour, vivid lime green with gold wheels.

If you need to work out whether it’ll fit on the mantel, the kit, when built, measures 60cm long, 25cm wide and 13cm high.

But that’s not all, there’s an overnight bag in the front hood and each kit carries a unique serial number that unlocks “special content”. And if you’re bored, you can scan the QR code to watch a series of videocasts by Automobili Lamborghini and LEGO experts, exploring the inspiration behind the design of the original car and the LEGO Technic model.

Speaking about the new Technic kit, Niels. B. Christiansen, LEGO Group CEO, said: “This new model truly encapsulates the pursuit of excellence embedded in the DNA of both Automobili Lamborghini and the LEGO Group. Both the 1:8 model and the reveal itself are feats of engineering innovation, pulled off by incredibly talented teams from across our two businesses. The LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is a true testament that with LEGO Technic, you can build anything your heart desires. I can’t wait to build this authentic replica of this futuristic super sportscar for real.”

The Lego Technic Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 will be available to order from June 1 in Australia and carries a cost of $569.99.
