Soft-roader gets a little harder…Mini Countryman powered by X-Raid

Mini Countryman by X-Raid

Having dominated the Dakar Rally since 2012, X-Raid has now released its Mini Countryman powered by X-Raid rough-road kit.

Four-wheel drivers won’t admit it but modifying soft-roaders is likely to be the next thing to hit the automotive modifying scene in Australia. We already know of one well-known 4×4 accessory maker looking to begin testing kits in Australia…

X-Raid is well known for its dominance of the Dakar Rally, winning in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2020 (a maiden Dakar victory for its Mini JCW buggy). Now, the brand has turned its hand to accessories with an “off-road package for the Mini Countryman”.

What’s it get? There’s an almost two-inch lift which has been achieved via a body lift and a different wheel and tyre package. Also part of the pack are LED driving lights, and an aluminium roof rack…so not much really. Then there’s the sticker pack to help the thing look more impressive than it is.

There’s no pricing, and it’s unlikely to be available in Australia but it could be a sign of things to come. Stay tuned for more on modified soft roaders from MotoFomo…it’ll be good, we promise.
