Take your office on the road with the Nissan Office Pod Concept

Nissan Office Pod Concept

Nissan revealed its Office Pod Concept at the virtual Tokyo Auto Salon; it sure beats using an ironing board as a desk.

Take a Nissan van (in this case the NV350 Caravan) and build a pod that can be slid in and out with a workstation and even a balcony. Meet the Nissan Office Pod Concept.

Sure, people build things like this all the time, but this one’s pretty cool. It’s got a TV in the floor a long desk and a cool-looking designer office chair, as well as anti-bacterial lighting on the inside, air-con, an AC/DC inverter, and a coffee machine. There’s a hole in the roof with a ladder so you can climb up and sit on the roof. The whole thing can be controlled via your smartphone.

There’s some sort of waffle-style wrap down the side, pumped guards and all-terrain rubber. Don’t expect to see Nissan roll this thing out anytime soon.
